Qualifications: Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of New Jersey, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. MSN preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required, two (2) of which were in transplant or clinical care areas. BLS (CPR) required. Certification as a Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) by the American Board of Transplant Coordinators is desirable and required within two (2) years of hire. Must have the ability to lead a team and maintain maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Strong oral and written communication skills, and exceptional customer service skills required. Must have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple issues for resolution. Bilingual skills preferred. Prior experience with clinical supervision/leadership and participation on a multidisciplinary team is preferred.
The Clinical Nursing Coordinator is an experienced leader responsible for managing assigned areas and multiple services within the Liver Transplant Program, supervising assigned patient care personnel during clinic operations with 24-hour call. The Clinical Nursing Coordinator is responsible to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care and clinical outcomes, compliance with regulatory, administrative and clinical standards, policies and procedures. The Clinical Nursing Coordinator is proficient in personnel management and directs care to meet the unit demands in an efficient and cost effective manner, as well as assisting with clinic budget management. This position reports to the Administrative Director Liver Center, and also takes clinical direction from the Program’s co-medical directors.
