Bachelor of Science degree or Pharm D. Degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution required. Post graduate degree preferred. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a registered pharmacist practicing in a hospital or industry setting. Experience in handling investigational drugs may substitute the experience as a registered pharmacist. Experience working in a hospital preferred. IRB experience preferred. Must be licensed with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist.
The primary purpose of the Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Investigational Drug Services position is to assure proper handling and storage of investigational drugs is maintained in accordance with sponsor requirements, hospital policy, TJC, State and Federal standards, rules and regulations. Organizes, leads, directs and verifies the duties and functions performed by supportive personnel to ensure the provision of accurate, efficient and appropriate Investigational Drug distribution services to the patient. Serves patients’ age and population as described below.
