Bachelor of Science degree or Pharm D. degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution required. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a registered pharmacist practicing in a hospital or Ambulatory Care setting required. Pharmacy Practice Residency preferred. Board Certification in Oncology preferred. Oncology experience and experience in handling chemotherapy and other hazardous drugs in an outpatient infusion center preferred. Must be licensed with the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist.
The primary purpose of the Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Oncology position is toensure safety in compounding, preparing, and dispensing chemotherapy within established USP <800> guidelines. Participates in clinical decision making to optimize patient medications for all ages and populations served by University Hospital. Works collaboratively with healthcare team to accomplish departmental goals and improve patient outcomes.
