Salary Range:

NS04S: $86,053.00 - $107,567.00 - $129,079.00

Qualifications: BSN required. Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of RN experience required with two (2) years of pediatric intensive care, emergency department or trauma RN experience preferred. Leadership experience desired. BLS, ACLS required. PALS and TCRN required or must obtain within six (6) months of hire. Computer literacy, organizational skills, excellent communication skills, interpersonal and team building skills and compassion are required.


Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the Pediatric Trauma Program Manager (PTPM) position is to improve patient care and systems practice on the Pediatric Trauma service. The PTPM participates in the implementation, advancement, evaluation and day to day operation of the Pediatric Trauma Center. Demonstrates clinical knowledge and skill in the care of pediatric trauma patients and is responsible for Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance for all pediatric trauma patients. Participates in education, system initiatives, research, injury prevention and outreach activities. Represents the Pediatric Trauma Center at local, state and national organizations. The PTPM collaborates with Trauma Physicians, the Trauma Team, Trauma Program Manager and with all other health care disciplines to provide excellent clinical care to the pediatric population. Utilizes nursing expertise to provide staff orientation, consultation and evaluation as well as education for patients, families and health care team members on pediatric issues. Works collaboratively with physicians and nursing leadership to identify patient care and staff development needs.
