Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or a related field. Must be certified by test as a Medical Technologist by a National Association (e.g. MT-ASCP) or be eligible for certification. Two (2) years of experience; (three (3) years preferred) as a Medical Technologist, including one (1) year of supervisory experience strongly preferred; experience in chemistry preferred. Good interpersonal skills. Good writing skills.
Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the Program Coordinator (POCT) position is to supervise and coordinate initial training; competency assessment, monitor quality control, instrument selection and maintenance, and proficiency testing activities of the Point of Care Programs including, but not limited to Finger Stick-Glucose, Blood Gas, ACT, Urine Pregnancy, Urinalysis, Rapid HIV, Amniotic Fluid pH, and Sweat Chloride.
